Main North Road

From the city center of Adelaide, the Main North Road runs as a national road A1 north through the Adelaide Parklands and the suburbs throne Gate, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Prospect, Sefton Park, Blair Athol and Enfield, and then in Gepps Cross Grand Junction Road ( NA16, A16 ) to cross. From there, the Port Wakefield Road ( NA1 ) continues north, while the Main North Road turns to the northeast and continues as a state highway A52 to Gawler.
In Gawler she runs through the city center, the Northern Expressway ( M20) forms during the bypass to the west of the city. In the Gawler Barossa Valley Highway (B19 ) branches off to the east. North of the town of Gawler Bypass rejoins the Main North Road and the Sturt Highway ( NA20 ) branches off to the northeast. The Main North Road, now State Road A32, draws further north into the wine region Clare Valley.
