The Main North Road is a main road in the center of the Australian state of South Australia. It connects the city of Adelaide with the Princes Highway in Stirling North, südlöstlich of Port Augusta.

Course

From the city center of Adelaide, the Main North Road runs as a national road A1 north through the Adelaide Parklands and the suburbs throne Gate, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Prospect, Sefton Park, Blair Athol and Enfield, and then in Gepps Cross Grand Junction Road ( NA16, A16 ) to cross. From there, the Port Wakefield Road ( NA1 ) continues north, while the Main North Road turns to the northeast and continues as a state highway A52 to Gawler.

In Gawler she runs through the city center, the Northern Expressway ( M20) forms during the bypass to the west of the city. In the Gawler Barossa Valley Highway (B19 ) branches off to the east.
