The directorial debut of Sooraj R. Barjatya was one of the most successful Bollywood movies of the 1980s and made the then 23 -year-old Salman Khan a star. The film was classified by boxofficeindia.com as All Time Blockbuster.
Action
Karan ( Alok Nath ) lives with his daughter, Suman ( Bhagyashree ) in the country. While working in Dubai to earn money for Sumans wedding, she lives with Karan's rich childhood friend Kishen ( Rajeev Verma ) in the city of Villa. Kishens son Prem ( Salman Khan) has to marry Seema ( Pervin Dastur ), who is the only daughter of Kishens business partner Ranjeet ( Ajit Vachani ), but soon falls in love Suman. They eventually reciprocates his feelings. Kishen believes that she has abused his hospitality, and asks her to leave his house. So Suman goes back to her village. Prem decides to follow Suman. Meanwhile, Karan returns and is deeply disappointed by the Kishens behavior. For this reason he forbids Prem to approach Suman. To prove that it can provide a woman with no father's money, you have to work very hard Prem. Finally allowed Karan Prem to his daughter's hand to stop.
