Maintenance Operations Protocol

The Maintenance Operations Protocol ( MOP, "Maintenance Operation Protocol" ) is a protocol in 1975, introduced by Digital Equipment Corporation DECnet protocol family.

It is the third- lowest layer, the network layer located, and is used for managing computer networks that contain mostly computer of the company. Simple functions allow the system boots or providing a console over the network.
