Maiolo

Maiolo is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 836 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Rimini in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located approximately 28.5 kilometers southwest of Rimini, belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Valmarecchia and directly borders the province of Pesaro and Urbino (Marche). The western boundary of the municipality is the Marecchia. The administrative center of the municipality is located in the district of Serra.

History

The existence of places in the community is attested from 962. By 2009, the community was part of the province of Pesaro and Urbino.

Traffic

Along the Marecchia runs the Strada Statale 258 Marecchia from Sansepolcro to Rimini.
