Maisons -en -Champagne is a commune with 517 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Marne, in the Champagne -Ardenne region.

Geography

By lying west of Vitry -le- François place leads the department road D501. South of the local situation runs the N4. East of the town lies the forest of La Garenne.

History

The population of the community grew from 305 inhabitants in 1962 to 490 in 2009. In the village is the church of Saint- Pierre.

The French writer Émile Clermont (1880-1916) died in the First World War as a lieutenant in the French army in 1916 in Maisons -en -Champagne.
