Major Crimes
Major Crimes is an American crime series and a spin-off of The Closer with Mary McDonnell in the lead role of Captain Sharon Raydor. The first broadcast in the U.S. took place on August 13, 2012 on TNT, while the German -speaking Original ATV began at 12 September 2013.
Action
After Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson has left Major Crimes and the LAPD, Captain Raydor takes over the department. This causes some problems, as the team can not accept them because of their previous attitude towards Major Crimes.

The figures Lt. Provenza, Lt.. Flynn, Lt.. Tao, Detective Sanchez and Buzz Watson were taken from the series The Closer. Captain Raydor is promoted to Head of Major Crimes and thus the successor of Chief Johnson. Commander Taylor was promoted to Assistant Chief. Production
TNT announced on 10 March 2010 that the produced seventh season of the television series The Closer will also be the last. The impetus was given by actress Kyra Sedgwick, who wants to deal otherwise in the same role after seven years. At the end of the final season for the last six episodes were used as a kind of transition to Major Crimes.
In May 2011, TNT gave the green light for the production of ten episodes for the first season.
On September 27, 2012 TNT Major Crimes extended to a second season. The episode number was initially estimated at 15 episodes, but later increased to 19 episodes. In mid-August 2013, the production of a third season was announced.
