The monument list the People 's Republic of China (Chinese全国 重点 文物保护 单位/全国 重点 文物保护 单位, Pinyin Quanguo zhòngdiǎn Wenwu bǎohù danwei, monuments of the People's Republic of China ') is a compiled by the State Council of the People's Republic of China monument list of state-protected national historic sites and cultural assets.
An initial list of 180 monuments was created on April 3, 1961, a second with 62 in 1982. It has been expanded several times by several times (see overview). The list includes major sites for history, art and science: building, cultural goods, tombs, ancient architecture, cave monasteries, stone inscriptions, and more.
