Makoto Moroi
Makoto Moroi (Japanese诸 井 诚, Makoto Moroi, born December 17, 1930 in the prefecture of Tokyo, † September 2, 2013 ) was a Japanese composer.
Career
The son of composer Saburō Moroi studied composition with Tomojiro Ikenouchi. He taught Gregorian chant at the Music Institute of Hiroshima and composition at the Conservatory of Tokyo.
He composed a symphony, a piano concerto, a concert suite for violin and orchestra, three chamber cantatas, five " orchestral compositions ", works for electronic instruments and vocal works with different instrumental accompaniment. His compositions are in the tradition of Anton Webern.
