Maxim Viktorovich Surajew (Russian Максим Викторович Сураев; born May 24, 1972 in Chelyabinsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian cosmonaut.

Surajew closed in 1994, a pilot training at a Russian military academy in Katschinsk from. Then he attended a technical Academy of the Russian Air Force in Moscow, which he left with the rank of Major in 1998. Surajew is married to Anna Alexandrovna Chorokordina. The marriage produced a child went forth.

Spaceman activity

The selection of test cosmonauts took place on 28 July 1997. Until November 1999, he completed his basic training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City.
