Maladroit is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Weezer. It was on 14 May 2002, barely a year after their previous album Weezer ( The Green Album), released. It is the first album with Scott Shriner, the Mikey Welsh replaced on bass. It is also the first Weezer album with 13 songs. All predecessors had only 10 songs each.

The album was sold in the United States alone more than 600,000 times and reached number 3 on the Billboard 200, it has reached gold status.

Formation

For their fourth album, Weezer have developed a special concept. On its homepage weezer.com they released demo versions of several songs in MP3 format. So dozens of versions have been published by over 30 songs on the Internet before ever the album was commercially. Thus, the fans of the band were actively involved in the design of the track list, and thus the entire album. For example, the song Slob was first published on the advice of the fans on the album.

Trivia

Actually slave should be the second single of the album by Dope Nose. We then decided, however, for Keep Fishin '.

At the European release of the album, Iceland is in the Sun as a bonus track.
