Malahide

Malahide (Irish Mullach Íde ) is a seaside resort in County Fingal northeast of Dublin. It can be reached by train in about 20 minutes. Even by bus and by car the location of Dublin is within easy reach. Malahide is by the sea and has a harbor. The town has 13,039 inhabitants ( 2011).

Malahide Castle

In Malahide Malahide Castle, a castle is from the 11th century. From 1185 to 1976 it was home to the Talbot family. This sold the castle to the County Dublin, since you can visit it. In the castle tours are offered regularly. There are also on the grounds of the castle, a toy museum, the Talbot Botanical Gardens and playgrounds. The castle is surrounded by a large park.
