Malak Rezen

Malak Resen ( Bulgarian Малък Резен; ' Little Slice ') is a 2191 m high mountain in the northeast of the mountain Vitosha in Bulgaria. 1.5 km to the southwest is the 2290 m high Cherni Wrach ( ' Black Peak '), the highest mountain of the Witoschas. Immediately to the north of Malak Resen is the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

The mountain can be reached by the Romanski chair lift and is the starting point for a trip to the three highest peaks of the mountains: Cherni Wrach, Goljam Resen ( 2277 m) and Skoparnik ( 2226 m).

Trivia

The survey Rezen Knoll on Livingston Iceland, part of the Antarctic New Shetland Islands, was named after the mountains Malak Rezen and Goljam Rezen.
