Malaysia national basketball team
The Malaysian national basketball team represents Malaysia in international basketball games of Lords. The biggest success of the Malaysian national team was the basketball world championship in 1986, was allowed to participate in the Malaysia instead of the reigning Asian champions Philippines. There, Malaysia occupied the 24th place at 24 participating teams. As a regular participant of the Asia Basketball Championships Malaysia has been able to gain no medal at the continental championships. The best rankings were two fourth place finishes in 1977 and 1985.
