Malaysian Grand Prix
The Malaysian Grand Prix ( after the sponsor Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix) is a racing event, the first time in 1962 took place. Since 1999, the Malaysian Grand Prix in Formula 1 in Sepang will be held at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula. The venue is the Sepang International Circuit.
The race course is located about 75 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur surrounded by tropical forests. Here is the Formula 1 teams have to expect high temperatures and with a very high humidity of up to 90 percent. 2009, the race was canceled due to heavy rain after 32 laps.
Record holder at the Formula 1 race is Michael Schumacher, who was on pole position five times and won three times.
