Malcolm Douglas ( born March 14, 1941 in Melbourne, † 23 September 2010 in Broome ) was an Australian wildlife filmmaker and was considered one of the most important crocodile experts.

In 1964, the 23 -year-old Malcolm Douglas and his friend David gave Oldmeadow their jobs as a warehouse and farm workers in the Riverina region of New South Wales and made a six -month journey across Australia. Since 1983, Douglas ran the crocodile farm Broome Crocodile Park in Broome, Australia. In 2004 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer he was, however, defeated. He died September 23, 2010 in a car accident 16 kilometers north of Broome. The accident occurred in his deer park. He was found trapped between his car and a tree. Douglas left a wife, Valerie, and two adult children.
