Malcolm Roberts

Malcolm Roberts ( born March 31, 1944 in Manchester, † February 7, 2003 in Addlestone ) was a British pop singer.

In the 1960s, Roberts was active as an actor and musical performer. He played lead roles in the musicals West Side Story and Maggie May His first single, Time Alone Will Tell 1967, went into the UK charts. May I Have the Next Dream Even With You (1968 ) and above all Love is All (1969 ) were hits. With the latter he had a highly acclaimed appearance at the Festival International de Canção in Rio de Janeiro in 1969. Performances in North and South America followed.

He participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1985 together with Franck Olivier, Diane Solomon, Ireen Sheer, Margo and Chris Roberts for Luxembourg in part. Despite the large levy of the group with Children, Kinder, Enfants could only reach number 13. In 1991, Roberts tried in the British preliminary competition with the title One Love, but to win without a victory.

Roberts died in 2003 of a heart attack near his residence.
