Malham
Malham is a village in the British county of North Yorkshire with 120 inhabitants.
From the village, a footpath leads along a creek to Malham Cove, a crescent-shaped limestone cliff that is 80 meters high and 200 meters wide. Originally poured over these cliffs a huge waterfall from the Malham Tarn, one resting on a slate underground lake.
Today's Malham Tarn Field Centre was formerly a hunting lodge and home of industrialist Walter Morrison, who here Charles Darwin, John Ruskin and Charles Kingsley had a guest. Charles Kingsley was here for his book The Water Children ( The Water - Babies ) inspired.
