Malick Badiane
Malick Badiane ( born January 1, 1984 in Thies ) is a Senegalese professional basketball player. He played as a promising youngster initially in Germany and was drafted in 2003 as the 44th pick by the NBA club Houston Rockets. To a NBA career but it was not enough, instead he became German champion in 2004 with the Skyliners Frankfurt. With the Senegalese national team, he was a participant in the Basketball World Championship 2006. Later he continued his career, especially in France, where he was mainly active for associations from the French second division LNB Pro B.
In his youth Badiane first played with the team of U.S. Rail in Senegal and moved the age of 18 in 2002 to the German second division club TV Langen. After his success in the draft, he was appointed in 2003 the cooperation partner Opel Skyliners in the first basketball league and was in the first season 2004 in addition to reaching the Cup final to win the German championship title.
