Malik Rahim

Malik Rahim ( b. 1948; originally Donald Guyton ) belonged to the Black Panther Party and is now a member of the U.S. Green Party. He lives in the U.S. state of Louisiana. He gained notoriety in recent years through his involvement after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the structure of the grassroots group Common Ground Collective. Malik is active in the American environmental justice movement. In 2008 he received the Thomas Merton Award for peace and social justice.
