Mallare

Mallare ( in Ligurian: Malle ) is a municipality with 1193 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Mallare is located in the upper part of the Val Bormida the river Bormida di Mallare. In the vicinity of the 956 meter high Monte Alto is located. The common ground is located at an altitude 401-1001 meters. The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida and is approximately 22 kilometers from the provincial capital Savona.
