Mallorquín

The Balearic Pony ( Caballo Majorcan ) is an ancient, endangered Mediterranean breed. Its main breeding area is Spain. It can be used as working, carriage and pony, mostly they are only used for mule breeding.

Exterior

The Balearic Islands pony has a dry head with lively eyes, small ears and a rearward Roman nose. The short, steep and curved neck and the shoulder of the ponies are not very muscular and have almost no withers. It has hard hooves and joints. Its shoulder height is approximately 140 cm. It usually has a bright or dark brown fur and a thick mane standing. In addition, white markings are allowed on the head.

Interior

It is a willing and good-natured pony that is extremely tough and resistant to heat. It is very reliable and robust, but also elegant with diligent movements.
