Malmö Synagogue

The synagogue in Malmö (Swedish: Malmö Synagogue, Hebrew מאלמה בית כנסת ) is the only Jewish house of worship in the southern Swedish city. It was designed by the Swedish architect John Smedberg, built in 1903 and combines Art Nouveau and Oriental-style elements. The construction costs amounted to 65,500 Swedish crowns. In her Orthodox services are held.

The synagogue was on 23 July 2010 as the target of a bomb attack. The explosion was caused by a type of fireworks, in which too little gunpowder was included, however, to seriously damage the building. On the day before the attack, a message was found on the door of the synagogue, was threatened in the stopper.
