Malta (band)

Nova was a Swedish pop duo, consisting of Claes af Geijerstam (* 1946 in Norrköping) and Göran Fristorp (* 1948 in Örebro ).

Under the name of Malta, they won the Melodifestivalen 1973 with their title Sommaren som aldrig sawyer nej. Due to the likelihood of confusion with the island of Malta in the band's name was changed to Nova. Then you reached the Euro Vision Song Contest 1973 in Luxembourg the 5th place with the title You're buzzer, an English-language version of the song. The orchestra conducted Monica Dominique as the first conductor ever in the history of the Song Contest.
