Malta national basketball team

The Maltese national basketball team represents Malta in international basketball matches of the men, such as in international tournaments and friendly matches.

So far the team failed to qualify for the Olympic Games, World Championships or European Championships themselves.

History

The national team of Malta joined in 1967 FIBA. Participation in a major tournament the team has not succeeded. For this one twice won the bronze medal at the FIBA European Championships for Small Countries, 2010 and 2012. Moreover, the team won a silver medal and two bronze medals for Malta at the Games of the Small States of Europe.
