Malte Spitz

Malte Spitz ( born April 14, 1984 in Telgte ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ). Spitz was 2004-2006 political national director of the Young Greens and was from 2006 to 2013 assessor of the Federal Executive of Alliance 90/The Greens. His work focuses on media policy, civil rights, economic policy, and demographics.

Party offices

Spitz in 2001 was held in the Young Greens and Alliance 90/The Greens one. From May 2004 to November 2006 he was a political federal secretary of the Green Youth. At the Federal Conference of Delegates on December 2, 2006 in Cologne, he was ( then 22 years old ) elected as assessor in the Federal Executive of Alliance 90/The Greens. Since then, Spitz is a professional politician. In November 2008, he was confirmed by the Federal Delegates Conference in Erfurt in a crucial vote against Melanie Schnatsmeyer with 66.4 percent of the vote in office. In November 2010, the Federal Delegates Conference in Freiburg with 53.9 percent against Stephan Schilling, former Speaker of the Young Greens. In his third re-election in November 2012 in Hanover voted 84 per cent of the party delegates for Spitz.

After losing for the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary election in 2013 Spitz announced that he no longer wanted to run for the federal board.
