Maltignano

Maltignano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2473 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. The community is located about 8.5 km west- southwest of Ascoli Piceno and directly borders the province of Teramo. Maltignano north is limited by the Tronto.

History

The name of the village first appears at the time of Charlemagne.

Traffic

Through the community of Raccordo Autostradale 11 of Ascoli Piceno leads to the Adriatic coast. The train station is located in the Malignano Gemeinedegebiet of Ascoli Piceno on the railway line from Ascoli Piceno to San Benedetto del Tronto.
