Malton, North Yorkshire

Malton is a country town in the English county of North Yorkshire and the administrative headquarters of the District Ryedale. Malton has about 4000 inhabitants.

Geography

Malton is located in the eastern part of the county in the Howardian Hills and located on the northwest shore of the Derwent, about 30 km north-east of York, 35 km southwest of Scarborough, 60 km north- west of Kingston upon Hull and 70km south-east of Middlesbrough.

History
