Malvern is an American city in Arkansas in Hot Spring County. It has about 9,000 inhabitants ( conditions 2004 ) in an area of 19.2 km ² and is the county seat ( county seat ) of Hot Spring County.

History

The town was founded in 1870 by the Cairo and Fulton Railroad and named after Malvern Hill in Virginia. On October 15, 1878 Malvern was elected to the district capital.

Traffic

Interstate 30 heads northwest to the site over, the U.S. Route 67 and U.S. Route 270 pass through. Also, a rail link exists. Approx. 5 km southeast of the town center there is an airport, the Malvern Municipal Airport.
