Mamadou Danso

Mamadou " Futty " Danso (* April 27, 1983 in Serekunda ) is a Gambian footballer who plays for the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer since 2011.

College

Mamadou Danso played at North Carolina Wesleyan College, and in 2008 came to the Southern Polytechnic State University, where he was active two years for the college team SPSU Hornets. He was selected twice for the All- Southern States Athletic Conference selection and was the first student of his college, which made ​​it into the All-America selection. In the two seasons he scored 35 goals for the Hornets. While he was in college he played for the U23 of the Carolina RailHawks FC in the USL Premier Development League, where he succeeded in eight games two goals.

United, but since he left college early to pursue professional football, he moved in April 2009 to the USL Team of the Portland Timbers without having previously signed a contract in Major League Soccer.
