Mamadou Lamine Loum

Mamadou Lamine Loum ( born February 3, 1952 in Mboss ) is a Senegalese politician. The Loum regarded as technocrat was July 3, 1998 to April 5, 2000 Prime Minister of his country.

After his training Loum worked since 1977 in the Ministry of Finance, 1984, he was Treasurer-General of Senegal. From 1991 to 1993 he was Director General of the Treasury. As a delegate of the Finance Minister, he was responsible for the state budget as of June 1993. In January 1998 he became finance minister before he became prime minister and successor of Habib Thiam six months later.

After the election of President Abdoulaye Wade, he was replaced in April 2000 by Moustapha Niasse.
