Mammendorf

Mammendorf is a municipality in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, Regierungsbezirk Oberbayern and lies about 8 km west of Fürstenfeldbruck and 35 km west of Munich. Mammendorf is the seat of the administrative community of the same name.

Geography

The Maisach flows through Mammendorf.

History

In 2008, the municipality Mammendorf was 1250 years old and is one of the oldest in the region. It was founded by the Bavarians Mamin.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1978, a part of the dissolved municipality Aich was incorporated. On May 1, 1978, added Nannhofen.

Traffic

Mammendorf - Nannhofen on the railway line between Munich and Augsburg is the last stop of the line S 3, the Munich S-Bahn. In addition, regional trains of the DB Bahn Mammendorf with Munich, and with Augsburg, Donauwörth and Dinkelscherben connect via the routes R 1, R 4 and R 6 of the Augsburg Transport Association. The station was renamed on December 11, 2005 by Nannhofen in Mammendorf. Already in December 2004 Mammendorf was listed on the network plans of MVV with Nannhofen ( Mammendorf ).
