Man of the Year is an American dramedy by Barry Levinson in the year 2006.

Action

Jack Menken is interviewed; he tells about events that focus on his friend Tom Dobbs stood.

Tom Dobbs is a presenter on a TV show. When he goeth about politicians him a woman from the audience asked why he was not a candidate himself. Dobbs announces his candidacy for the office of President of the United States.

The for " Delacroy ", the manufacturer of the voting machines, automatic computer expert Eleanor Green discovers an error in the system, but is ignored by her boss. On election day, it is threatened and instructed to keep silent.

Dobbs wins the election, Green is released. She turns to Dobbs, who wants to make the affair public. However Delacroy gets wind of it, claiming that Green was responsible for the rigged election system. Dobbs waived the office. The Democratic candidate wins the Kellogg repeated choice. Dobbs is a Green as a producer of his mission.

Robert Wilonsky criticized in the Village Voice on 10 October 2006 that the film " confusing " ( " distracted " ) is and loses itself in the " mess " of the conspiracy. Laura Linney was miscast.

Bill alarm clock praised in the Chicago Sun - Times October 13, 2006, the performer, especially Robin Williams and Christopher Walken.

Background

The film was shot in New York City, Washington DC and in some places in Ontario - including Toronto - rotated. He started in the cinemas of the USA on 13 October 2006 and played until 5 November 2006, about 33.8 million U.S. dollars.
