Manabu Kitabeppu

Manabu Kitabeppu (Japanese北 别 府 学, Kitabeppu Manabu; born July 12, 1957 in Sueyoshi, Soo -gun (now Soo ), Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese baseball player.

Because of its precise throws he was as Seimutsu Kikai (精密 机械, German " precision machine" ) referred.

In 1975, he was selected in the first round of the draft of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. Throughout his professional career, from 1976 to 1994 he played with the Carp. In its active period fell five of the six Nippon Series appearances Hiroshima and all three championships. Overall Kitabeppu threw in 515 games, including 460 as a starter, and scored 213 wins at 141 Losses. Twice, in 1982 and 1986, he was awarded the Sawamura Award for the best pitcher in Japanese professional baseball.

From 2001 to 2004 he served as pitching coach for the team.
