Manang District, Satun

Amphoe Manang ( Thai: อำเภอ มะ นั ง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Satun. The Satun province is located in the west of the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Palian Trang province and Amphoe Khuan Kalong, Amphoe La - ngu and Amphoe Thung Wa in the province of Satun.

History

Manang was on 15 July 1996, first as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by two tambon Khuan Kalong were separated from Amphoe.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Manang is divided into two subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 18 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also two " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
