Manchester Opera House

The Manchester Opera House is a theater and opera house in Manchester in the North West of England.

It is grouped with the Palace Theatre to the most important cultural institutions in the city and is on the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, the monument list of the United Kingdom. The Manchester Opera House was opened on Boxing Day 1912, and since then regularly opera, ballet and musical performances. The building has 1,920 seats and was in 1958 place the European premiere of the musical West Side Story.
