Since the end of the 19th century led the newfound possibility of the use of water power for energy to industrial activities in Mancioux whose center was a water power plant. The three municipalities Mancioux, Roquefort -sur -Garonne and Boussens used a constriction of the Garonne in the Massif du Plantaurel for the construction of this work. From 1912 to 1917 there was therefore a local industry in Mancioux.
