Mancor de la Vall

Mancor de la Vall is a community on the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. It counts 1321 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), of which 1017 in the same place ( as of 2008). The foreigners in the community was 8.19% (88 people), the proportion of German residents 3.17% (34 people). The locals Mancori or Mancorina call themselves.

History

For a long time Mancor was politically and ecclesiastically from neighboring Selva dependent. It was only in 1913 Mancor became an independent parish. In 1925, the political separation of Selva and Mancor was an independent municipality ( Municipi ).
