Manderen
Manderen ( German Mandern, Lorraine Manneren ) is a commune with 422 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Est and Canton Sierck- les- Bains.
Geography
Manderen located in Manderental, a tributary of the Moselle River, 25 kilometers northeast of Thionville, near the border triangle France - Luxembourg - Germany. The 8.92 km ² comprehensive community area is bounded on the northeast by the municipality of Saarland Perl.
History
The place came to France in 1661 for the first time. Unlike the rest of today's Moselle Mandern belonged to the Congress of Vienna in 1834 to Prussia .. The municipality Manderen since 1830 also the easternmost village Tunting heard ( Tuntange ).
