Mandolute

The lute is a plucked string instrument Mando, which evolved from the oud. She has ten strings, and is sometimes also called command Lutheran or Mandol. It is slightly larger than a Mandola. The Mando sounds is a mix of strings crossing of the oud with the fingerboard classical guitar. The resulting shape looks somewhat like a flat mandolin, but has a deeper and much wider resonance body. The term Mando lute was also used for some manufactured by the Dusyma workshops in Stuttgart- Ostheim instruments.

The name Mandolute was also used for a product manufactured by the U.S. company Weymann mandolin model. This " Mandolutes " have eight strings and are traditional flat mandolins.
