Manduria

Manduria is a city in the Italian province of Taranto in Apulia in the northern part of Salento. Manduria has 30 795 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

The neighboring municipalities are Avetrana, Maruggio, Erchie (BR), Francavilla Fontana (BR), Oria (BR), Porto Cesareo (LE ) and Sava. The districts are San Pietro in Bevagna, Torre Colimena and Uggiano Montefusco.

Already settled in ancient times people here. On February 4, 1895, the city received city rights.

Worth seeing in Manduria are the churches, especially the Mother Church, a church from the 16th century.
