Mandylion is the third album by the Dutch band The Gathering. The album was released August 22, 1995 via Century Media.

The album was produced in the period 1 to 15 June 1995 by Siggi Bemm and Waldemar Sorychta in the Woodhouse Studios in Hagen. It is the first album with the new vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen. The two predecessor Niels Duffhues and Martine van Loon had left the band before.
With "Strange Machines" a single was coupled.
In 2006, the album was re-released by Century Media. The so-called " deluxe edition" contains a bonus CD with previously unreleased demo recordings. In addition, the cover artwork has been revised.

Strange Machines ( Single)
Advance the song " Strange Machines" was released as a single. With this single, the band landed a small hit in the metal scene and could thus increase the popularity of the band.
Adrenaline / Leaves (EP)
Published in 1996, Century Media, the Adrenaline / Leaves EP. The EP contains with "Adrenaline " and " Third Chance " two new songs. " Third Chance " was re-recorded for the Nighttime Birds album in 1997.
