Manerba del Garda

Manerba del Garda is a town with 5091 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy.

Manerba del Garda is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda. Borders the following municipalities: Moniga del Garda, Polpenazze del Garda, Puegnago sul Garda, San Felice del Benaco, Soiano.

Manerba del Garda had since the early medieval site of a castle ( Rocca di Manerba ) directly over the lake, are obtained from the residues. Since the 14th century Manerba del Garda belonged to the republic of Venice.

Tourism is a major source of income of the village. Its attractions include the remains of the castle, which belongs to an archaeological nature park of 9 hectares, which includes a portion of the lakefront and the parish churches of the various districts. For small island of " Isola San Biagio " you can from the headland "Belvedere" through the shallow water to wade.
