Manfred Kurzer

Manfred Short ( born January 10, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German sports shooter. Short is Olympic champion and two-time world champion.

Life

Short began at the age of 14 years with the shooting sports. He celebrated his first major international success in 1990, when he became World Champion in Moscow in competition with the date disc. He repeated four years later at the World Championships in Milan this success.

In 1998, he presented at the World Cup in Zurich a new world record with the date disc. The biggest success of his career, he managed at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens when he was charged with 682.4 wrestling Olympic champion. In the preliminaries, he had set up with 590 rings a new world record. Short is currently sporting a soldier in the German army and lives in Frankfurt ( Oder).
