Manfred Petz

Manfred " Moppes " Petz ( born May 5, 1961 in Mainz ) is a German football coach and former football goalkeeper. Since 2011, he stands as a goalkeeping coach at Eintracht Frankfurt under contract.

The 1.78 m wide goalkeeper started his career in the youth of FVgg Kastel 06, 1978, he transferred to 1 FSV Mainz 05, for which he completed 42 games in the 2nd Bundesliga until 1995. From 1996 to 1997 he was at SV contractions in goal and took over the following season the coach position. From 1998 Petz mainly worked as a goalkeeper coach, first at Eintracht Frankfurt and from 2000 for the Stuttgart Kickers. In 2003 he took over briefly the coach of SpVgg Ingelheim. After working as a goalkeeping coach at Fortuna Dusseldorf (2004-2005), SV Eintracht Trier (2006) and SV 07 Elversberg (2007-2008) 2008 he was coach of the second team of VfL Wolfsburg. 2011 Eintracht Frankfurt signed him again as a goalkeeper coach.
