Manfred Porsch

Manfred Maria Porsch ( born April 14, 1950 in Vienna) is an Austrian composer, teacher and school developers.

Teacher

Manfred Porsch graduated 1977, the College of Education in Vienna and worked then as a teacher of integrated comprehensive schools and secondary schools. In parallel, he was a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute. Today, he works in the federal coordination center for school cultural work at the PH- Vienna.

He is one of the pioneers of in-school teacher training.

Composer

Manfred Porsch comes from the Focolare Movement. 1971 and 1972 he toured with Gen Rosso. In 1983 he won the first prize at the World Festival of the religious song, the Rassegna Mondiale della Canzone Popolare Religosa in Rome. As a result, Manfred Porsch founded in 1987 the club Musica e Vita Austria and initiated the festival series "Festival of Songs". He has published about 200 songs on over 20 recordings.

After a long musical break Porsch went in 2012 in collaboration with Thomas Raber again with new productions to the public.
