Manganese ( II) sulfate is the divalent manganese salt of the sulfuric acid with the formula MnSO4. Manganese (II ) sulfate forms in the hydrated state pale pink monoclinic, in the anhydrous state white crystals.
Occurrence
In nature, manganese (II ) sulfate is used as the mineral Mallardit before ( MnSO 4 · 7 H 2 O).
Production and representation
Manganese ( II) sulfate can be prepared by dissolving the manganese ( II ) carbonate are shown in sulfuric acid.
Properties
Manganese (II ) sulphate is readily soluble in water but insoluble in alcohols. It forms several hydrates (monohydrate, tetrahydrate, heptahydrate ). The anhydrous substance is obtained by the smoking of the most manganese compounds with sulfuric acid.
Use
Manganese (II ) sulfate is used in agriculture, textile printing, china manufacturing, for disinfection, in dyeing and in the wood stain.
