Manggarai Regency

Manggarai is an administrative district ( kabupaten ) in the west of the island of Flores in the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara. Capital of the governmental district is Ruteng.

The county is the area of ​​settlement of the people of the same name. The Manggarai are mainly due to their ritual whip struggle known caci, which is also a tourist attraction today.
