Mani (bass guitarist)

Gary " Mani " Mounfield ( born November 16, 1962 in Crumpsall, Manchester ) is a British rock musician.

From 1987 to 1996, Mounfield bassist of the band Stone Roses, one of the most important bands of the Madchester movement. After the dissolution of the Stone Roses bassist Mani was the British band Primal Scream.

In 2003, Mani played for a short time in the English rock band Ocean Colour Scene. He also had a guest role in the film 24 Hour Party People ( 2002). From 2005 to 2010 Mounfield was a member of the supergroup Freebass.
