Manifestation of God

Manifestation of God ( Bahai transcription Mazhar -i - Ilahi ) is a theological term from the Bahaitum, which outlines its model of divine revelation. Alternatively, the terms revealer or religious founders are used by Bahá'ís.

For Bahá'ís, the essence of God is not visible, so it sends its emissaries, the Manifestations of God, who are his representatives on earth. You are theophanies, mirror, reflecting the glory of God and His attributes manifest. However, they are not incarnations of God or his essence, but emanations, yet they provide to the people the divine presence; they offer people the sole access to divine knowledge and divine mercy.

They reveal the divine law and are owned by the "Greatest infallibility " and free from sin. Compared with the humanity they occur as successive divine teacher, resulting in the Bahá'í teaching of Progressive revelation ends.

Although there is no definitive list of manifestations in the writings of the Baha'i, you will come to Adam as the first known manifestation of God, followed by Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Krishna, Siddhartha Gautama, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, the Bab and finally Baha'ullah, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith. However, this is not exclusivist list, but a list of the Baha'i is certainly well known manifestations of God. In practice, Baha'i usually go before inklusivistisch. Baha'ullah not apply as the last manifestation of God, but also it will be followed, but no earlier than 1000 years after its public rally of his mission.

The Manifestations of God have sovereignty over the heavens and the earth. Each of them is the return of all previous Manifestations of God and brings with her a court appearance, which separates the believers from unbelievers. You initiate a positive and invigorating transformation in the lives of their followers and their companies which unity, peace, courage and certainty donates. From this great importance of the Manifestations of God for the Baha'i explains that Baha'u'llah recognition and obedience to the Manifestations of God stipulated as an inseparable first commandment in his Holy Book. From this perspective, a rebellion against a manifestation of God is also a rebellion against all others and ultimately against God.

The nature of the Manifestations of God has two levels: On the one hand they share their capacity as carriers of the divine message and proclaim all the same faith, on the other hand, each of them has its own order, a specific message and an individual human form and personality. This Baha'i explain the only external for them, differences between various religions and proclaim their mystical unity.
