Manlio Rocchetti
Manlio Rocchetti ( born 1943 in Rome ) is an Italian, Academy Award-winning makeup artist and as such, a lecturer at the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema in Bologna active.
He is the son of Silvano Rocchetti and his wife Ferdinanda Centi.
Rocchetti comes from a family of makeup artists. His grandfather was Giuseppe Rocchetti makeup artist at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and in the supply business of mask needs active, among other things, during the Venice Carnival 1874. His children continued running the business, including Manlios Father Silvano. Manlios brother Luigi Rocchetti also works as a makeup artist in the film.
1990 got Manlio Rocchetti awarded the Oscar and Lynn Barber and Kevin Haney for Miss Daisy in the category Best Make -up.
A student Manlios is the hairdresser Aldo Signoretti. With him Rocchetti was nominated for work on Gangs of New York 2003 for the British Academy Film Award for best mask.
For his mask in the series Lonesome Dove, he has been awarded the 1989 Emmy Award.
